After all, for a pure sorcerer the most convenient way is to fully upgrade the starting staff in before he find the staff of wisdom. Things change if you want to use both sorceries and hexes, because in this situation the sunset staff is the best one.Since you're going for a melee hex build, obviously the most important hex for you is going to be Dark Weapon.
