A heater matrix, new coolant pipes, expansion tank and a flush were required to solve the issue. I went ahead with this as approaching winter I'd need some heat in the car due to my early starts and overnight finishes. I have a 2010 honda crv ex-l with 200k miles on it. It has dual heat/ac, but for some reason the heat on the drivers side blows great, but the heat on the passenger side doesnt work. It's stuck in the "cold" position.
