Lwrc vs lmt of Technology
You should also look at the LMT MARS rifle - completely ambidextrous from the factory and also top-quality like LWRC. Regarding piston vs DI - if you shoot suppressed, or plan to, then piston is the way to go IMHO. Much cleaner and you can shoot much longer without problems.Help me choose. : r/AR10. I want a semi auto precision 308. Help me choose. I'm looking to get into a semi auto 308 to use for 25-600 yards. Expectation is good accuracy with match ammo (1 MOA capable), reliability, and would make a good hunting rifle if I decided to use it for that. I'm excited about the new Spear coming out, but my ...LMT is a front loading piston design with an adjustable gas block. LWRC's is top loading, using a gas nozzle/cup type piston design which is self-regulating (though they have a model with an adjustable gas system for those who want to adjust cycle rate when firing suppressed). For my next toy I really want a piston setup. I can't however make up my mind between the LMT "CQB MRP Defender Piston 16" or the LWRC M6A2 or A3. I've obviously heard nothing bad about either company or rifle, but for two grand I would appreciate an educated word of advise. I want a complete rifle too, I don't want to build another AR right now.If you’re worried about a replacement barrel, you can call LWRCI and get a replacement for the difference in price between the two rifles. In short, the LWRCI shits all over the DD while being 33%-50% cheaper. If going piston it really should be LMT. That said I would pick a DD over LWRC.So, no, Geissele and LWRC are not on the same level, LWRC is quite a bit ahead. Neither brand is anywhere close to LMT's level, but they are leagues better than Radian. Probably super dumb but my buddy wants to trade my M6IC-SPR for his 14.5 super duty. LWRC has, to my knowledge, is top of the line right next to….Jun 7, 2022 · You should also look at the LMT MARS rifle - completely ambidextrous from the factory and also top-quality like LWRC. The receiver and handguard are made from a single piece of aerospace grade aluminum.94 (100%) I've shot an LWRC in 6.8 and 5.56 they were seven or eight inch bbls we did quite a bit of full auto fire with their factory rep. I still smile when thinking about it. I do not own one I just could not justify the expense. I have an LMT 10.5" SBR it rocks. If I remember right the LMT upper is a third of cost.KAC is the best AR money can buy, very close second is LMT, IMO. Close thirds, are ADM, Radian. There are others but those are my top choices for anyone wanting the best of the best. As for getting something better for $2300, there's diminishing returns once you get past $1k in my opinion.I can't however make up my mind between the LMT "CQB MRP Defender Piston 16" or the LWRC M6A2 or A3. I've obviously heard nothing bad about either company or rifle, but for two grand I would appreciate an educated word of advise.#ar15 #lwrc #reviewwe feel that for the money, the lwrc m6ic-di rifle is the best bang for your buck. As Maryland natives, we may be a little biased- but tha...May 8, 2020 · I just wanted some opinions from those who HAVE ACTUALLY OWNED a SR25, and can compare it either positively or negatively to other similar top tier rifles. The LMT sniper system is $1500 cheaper and equally sexy, Larue is $2,000 cheaper, and many more are half the price or less. The Rifles: - LWRC M6IC Enhanced - $2500 MSRP. - Knights Armament SR-15 E3 Mod 1 - $2200 MSRP. - PSA Premium CHF 14.7" upper, Premium BCG with a PSA A2 lower - $640. The LWRC and the KAC are indisputably nicer than the PSA from an ergonomics, design and cool factor perspective. When I handle either rifle the quality is obvious.Firearm Discussion and Resources from AR-15, AK-47, Handguns and more! Few years ago I had both a LWRC R.E.P.R. and LMT 308 MWS. Now I just have the LMT. As good as the reaper is it just was not as good as the LMT. Both dead nuts accurate, both hit 1000 yd steel, it was just easier to do with the LMT.LWRC is the answer. I have a DI LMT that has never run right and they won't even answer my emails about it. I've never needed LWRC repairs but at least they answer my emails. I've had 6 LWRC rifles through the years and none has ever given me a bit of trouble.LWRC A5 vs. LMT MARS L 16" I'm stuck between these two rifles. Which one will I see a better life span out of? I want a 16" rifle that is very well made, very reliable & will last for a very long time. Which one of these two will be a better rifle? I understand one is piston & the other is DI.No gas in your face. Jroc734 November 20, 2022, 2:11am 15. The highend AR brand I've always wanted is a LMT. (Lewis Machine Tool) I would likely go with a LWRC simply because DD is more mainstream, and as such seems less special if sold for the same $. For $2K+ I'd really want to compare both side to side though.Unfiltered MAC on Twitter: https://twitter.com/MAC_ArmsCheck Out Our Specials: http://linktr.ee/militaryarmschannelJoin Patreon and support MAC! http://www.p...Good thing I bumped into this thread I was going to make a similar thread of LMT vs LWRC. I think I'm gonna end up going for the LMT MRP piston system. pacrimguru: 07-26-2010 10:22 AM: yes, LMT is a great choice! for a second there, i was surprised to see aplinker back among us. where did he go?!285. 47. Idaho. Mar 13, 2024. #10. Unless you're truly humping this rifle around in the field I'd roll with the current stick or purchase the piston driven MARS-H. The APC is typical swiss build quality but just as heavy. I run a SCAR 17S (gas jet + trigger needed) with zero issues suppressed/unsuppressed in the field and it's more accurate ...Anything Milspec will work. Some "enhanced" uppers won't work, such as the BCM Mk2 because the forward assist location interferes with the location of the Ambi bolt release. Basically if the space under the brass deflector is empty, it should be fine. Edit: here's a list for LMT, LWRC should be very similar. You can go from 10.5" 300aac to 18" 6.8spc with just a couple minutes. Personally I have three LMT MRP platforms and the piston conversion is something that's never been on my 'want' list for the rifles. Currently waiting on a stamp and then I'll have a 12.5" DI setup. Posted: 2/18/2017 12:36:38 PM EDT.My first AR15 has got me itching for more variety although lovely NJ wants to restrict that itch as much as possible. Three options: LaRue PredatOBR 7.62 20” LWRC REPR MKII 7.62 20” KAC SR-25 E2 PR. I have never shot a KAC. But I do own an LMT and LWRC REPR. They are both amazing rifles. My LWRC WAS my first long rifle.Re: Gas Piston AR's (POF-USA vs LMT vs LWRC) I have a LMT MRP, shoots really nice, no issues, like jamming or any else ever. It does recoil a slight more than a non piston system, but its not enough to bother me or really notice. I would get a LMT upper and a Seekins, mega, or POF lower for it.Apr 2, 2018. #5. The DD doesn't even come close to holding a candle to the LMT. It's absolutely asinine that the DD's price tag is what it is. The LMT utilizes well thought out proprietary parts to become truly a next generation AR where the DD uses proprietary parts to take a step backwards in innovation.By the way, add the GA Precision GAP-10, the Knights Armament SR-25 and Les Baer's new .308 to that list. They're all in the 2500-3500 dollar price range. If I had the money, I think I'd go with the GAP-10. This offers the ability to more closely tune the gas volume to specific ammunition to reduce recoil. The charging handle was reverted back to an AR style from the original REPR’s side-charging design as part of DEA and CSASS submissions. You should get an LWRC lower for it and let me dispose of that LMT properly…. Eh. Waste of money to buy the lower. LWRC lowers are great, don't get me wrong, and that ambi bolt release is a thing of beauty, but it's one of the things that changes the least from rifle to rifle. Certainly not worth $900 or whatever.LMT MARS setup, at least the current, is a catch/release the same as the LWRC design. Not my image, taken from the net. Button has the ability to be pushed from the bottom to catch the bolt. Actually the LMT button design is a bit more pronounced than the LWRC as the LWRC is nothing more than the same catch/release button as on the left side. The LWRCI Six8-A5 Razorback II 6.8 SPC rifle comes with a host of field-worth upgrades sure to satisfy any discerning shooter.I'm still trying to decide what one of these I should go with. I know I'm going with a 16 inch but I can't decide between the m6a2 LWRC or the cqb LMT. I originally wanted to go 6.8 because Im not exactly in love with 5.56 but the magazine issues and ammo cost kind of makes it almost impossible...LWRC REPR MK2 - 16" Proof Research Carbon Fiber Barrel with a Rugged Radiant suppressor - hand stop - Magpul ACS-L Stock - Vortex Razor Gen 3 1-10 - Approx weight would be 175oz (10.935 lbs) It seems the REPR will likely be heavier, longer, and more accurate.
