Sm465 rebuild of Technology
I can virtually guarantee that it will "match up to the cover". I'm also about 99 percent certain that it will not fit a 465. The bolt pattern is standard, so quite obviously, it will match up, but the gears have to mesh as well, and every tranny is different. Hopefully, you learned 2 things today. One about giving advice, and one about PTO's.I run the SM465, but it is MUCH easier to mate a 420 to your drivetrain. There is only one plate adapter available on the market for the SM465 and it is expensive to make work. If you us this, you must have a 4wd version w/10 spline output shaft. As for the SM420. I estimate around $1500 after everything, Novak kit, SM465 rebuild kit, D18 rebuild kit and 2 new drivelines.
